Svetlana Simic knows not what losing a championship match feels like.

It isn’t because she has never played in one, either. She actually played in plenty during her Northeast Conference career – four to be exact.

LIU Brooklyn captured six consecutive NEC Volleyball Tournament titles from 2004 through 2009 and Simic was on the court for the last four.

They been one of the region’s premier programs for more than a decade and the Northeast Conference women’s volleyball coaches don’t foresee that changing this season.

The group of coaches voted LIU Brooklyn as a unanimous preseason favorite to capture the 2015 NEC crown and return to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
