#NECWBB: St. Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris Retain Top-Tier Academic Status
In the NCAA academic bracket, the Northeast Conference is home to a pair of No. 1 seeds for the second year in a row.
As was the case last summer, St. Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris own top-four national rankings on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Division I Team Honor Roll.
Combining for a 3.749 grade-point average, the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers edged out NEC rival Robert Morris by one one-thousandth of a point for third place in the nation.
Robert Morris, which claimed national runner-up honors following the 2016-17 campaign, produced a 3.748 to take fourth overall.
Wisconsin Green Bay (3.753) topped the list once again with Western Illinois claiming second place.
The most-recent ranking continues a remarkable run of recognition for St. Francis Brooklyn. The Terriers have earned a spot in the Top 10 each of the past six years. They finished in second place twice (2013, 2015) before securing the national crown in 2016.
