#PollWeek: Men’s Soccer Rankings Topped with Franciscan Flavor

St. Francis is known to Catholics as a lover of all creation, but, in the Northeast Conference, he is the patron saint of men’s soccer.

St. Francis Brooklyn and Saint Francis University, the two teams who met in the 2014 NEC title tilt, have retained the respect of the conference’s head coaches and collected all of the first-place votes in the annual preseason poll.

Aiming for a third consecutive crown, SFBK earned six top nods and finished first in the voting. Meanwhile, SFU, which earned a trio of first-place votes, was the poll’s runner-up.
