Five #NECFB players found themselves listed amongst the Best in FCS when the Sports Network opened the month of July by announcing its Preseason All-American Teams.
Sacred Heart’s Troy Moore and Keshaudas Spence along with Central Connecticut’s Rob Hollomon, Robert Morris’ Antwan Eddie and Wagner’s Phil Faccone received Preseason All-America status from the sports news organization, which has been a leader in coverage of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Here’s a look at each of these fantastic five players…
RB Keshaudas Spence (SHU): A workhorse for the NEC champion Pioneers, the stout, 5-foot-10 running back rushed for a single-season program record 1,669 yards last fall.
AP Rob Hollomon (CCSU): Hollomon, a Philadelphia product, has eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in each of his first two seasons in New Britain.
PR Antwan Eddie (RMU): The native Floridian’s 15.0 ypr average ranked third amongst national leaders.
LS Phil Faccone (WAG): Faccone graded out at 100 percent on his snaps while handling duties for the Seahawk FG, PAT and punt teams in 2013.
DT Troy Moore (SHU): The do-it-all defensive tackle proved to be one of the league’s premier pass rushers in 2013.
