#NEC13 Promotion Plan Put Into Motion; Find Out How You Can Win Big

For Northeast Conference fans, March means more than just championship hoops.

It means social media chatter, interactive fan contests and chances to win a #NEC13 Grand Prize Pack will be plentiful over the next few weeks.

The NEC unveiled a promotional plan for the 2013 Northeast Conference Basketball Tournament presented by Ruby Tuesday, and the fans will once again be the key players this March.

In conjunction with its 2013 men’s and women’s basketball championships, the NEC will conduct three major postseason-entered fan contests – The #NEC Elite … Who Belongs?, #NECPridePix, Overtime’s #SixthMan Battle.

There’ll be four opportunities for fans to win a #NEC13 Grand Prize pack, and the first two are intertwined with the announcement of the season’s major individual award winners and the All-NEC Men’s/Women’s Teams.

The #NECElite … Who Belongs?
With the NEC conducting separate contests for its men’s and women’s leagues, fans will have the opportunity to predict this year’s major individual award winners via Twitter. Those wishing to participate simply need to tweet their selections for Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most-Improved Player (Men only), Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year using the hashtag #NECElite. The tweeter who correctly predicts all men’s or women’s individual award winners will win the prize pack. For tie-breaking purposes, we ask participants to send a second tweet, again using the #NECElite hashtag, that lists his/her five All-NEC First Team picks.

Fans will find out whether or not they got it right when the NEC unveils its All-Conference honorees and award winners via Twitter.
