A Red Start: Red Flash Down Duquesne in First-ever Live Contest on NEC Front Row

One day after its launch, NEC Front Row aired its first-ever live event.

Saint Francis (PA) played host to Atlantic-10 member Duquesne on Friday afternoon (Aug. 17) in a women’s soccer match that marked the live event debut of the online digital network.

Not only did Saint Francis kick off Front Row’s live event schedule, it did so in triumphant fashion.

Behind the fierce play of Tesa McKibben – the reigning NEC Player of the Year fired 11 shots in the season opener – and a stalwart effort in goal by keeper Brianna Butcher, the Flash blanked the Dukes, 2-nil.

McKibben, who now stands just one goal shy of the SFU career scoring record, tallied a goal and an assist in the victory.
