The Northeast Conference unveiled its plans to nationally televise five league football contests this fall.
All five games will air live on Fox College Sports (FCS) with four of the five also being made available through the online, mobile-based ESPN3.
All nine teams receive at least one exposure with Central Connecticut (Sept. 22), Sacred Heart (Sept. 29), Bryant (Oct. 6), Robert Morris (Nov. 3) and Monmouth (Nov. 10) having the opportunity to host a game this season.
Central Connecticut will kick off the schedule at home against Wagner on September 22. The Blue Devils will be on air again the following week as they will oppose Sacred Heart on Homecoming Weekend in Fairfield on September 29.
Albany and Bryant, two of the top-three teams in this year’s preseason coaches’ poll, will clash in Smithfield, RI on October 6.
The schedule contains a pair of November dates – one in the Steel City and the other at the Jersey Shore.
Robert Morris will host Duquesne in the annual Steel City Showdown on November 3 at Joe Walton Stadium. One week later, Monmouth will welcome Saint Francis (PA) to West Long Branch, NJ.
In addition to the national coverage, the NEC has once again partnered with regional and local networks. MSG Network, Root Sports and Cox (CT/RI) amongst others will air select telecasts.
